Post-Election Audit Set for Friday

The Election Commission will conduct its required post-election tabulation audit on Friday, Aug. 21, at 12:00 p.m. Noon at the Election Commission Office.
The audit is required under Tennessee law and is designed to verify the accuracy of vote tabulation equipment and election results.
The following location was randomly selected for the audit during Election Night:
1. Precinct 1-1 - Nunnelly
In addition to Precinct 1-1, Early Voting and Absentee will also be audited.
Election officials will compare paper records and vote totals to ensure tabulation systems accurately recorded ballots.
Certification Scheduled for Aug. 25
The final step in the election process will be the official certification of results.
The Election Commission is scheduled to certify the Aug. 6 election on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 3:45 p.m. at the Hickman County Election Commission Office, located at 114 N Central Ave, Suite 201. Centerville, TN

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

The Hickman County Elections Commission will hold a meeting at 3:45 pm on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026, at the Hickman County Administrative Building. This meeting is open to the public, and a proposed agenda for the meeting is shown below. People desiring to speak during the public comment period should sign up at the front of the meeting room before the meeting begins.

1. Call to order by Chairperson.
2. Roll Call.
3. Public Comment.
4. Certification of August 6th, 2026, Primary Election.
5. Adjournment.
